Tuesday Farmers' Market

The Autumn Farmers' Market is as gorgeous as any other time of year... anyone up for Butternut Squash Soup?  Yummy.  Sure beats the supermarket!

These photos would have been posted yesterday, but last night I was a little busy with an injured child.  All's well that ends well.  After x-rays and a doctors office visit, he's fine, but off the playing field for awhile.

Farmers' Market

Pomegranates

Gourdes

Hibiscus

Carrots and white radishes

Autumn brought many of the typical fruits and vegetables to our Coronado Farmers' Market this afternoon, with the addition of a some California favorites, like little hibiscus bushes that bloom all year round here.

Coronado Farmers' Market Finds

While shopping at the Coronado Farmers' Market on Tuesday afternoon, I met this sweet little dog named Gracie.  She is a Maltese/Yorkie mix (a Morkie), with a friendly, huggable disposition.

Yes, daisies and onions are an unusual combination, but as I purchased both from my favorite vendor, Tino, I decided they were pretty enough to be blog-worthy.  Hope you agree!

Farmers' Market

Follow the signs to the Farmers' Market every Tuesday afternoon, and take home farm fresh produce without going over the bridge.

Farmers' Market

The Coronado Farmers' Market is held year round, every Tuesday from 2:30 to 6:00, in Il Fornaio's parking lot. Local growers offer fresh produce, flowers, eggs and cheese that will make you glad you took the time to stop by. I brighten our house each week with fresh flowers, and feed my family produce that's in season. Isn't this more fun than a supermarket?
