The Soccer Field

My son's soccer team had their last home game of the season at Tidelands Park yesterday.  This has been a good season, and I'll miss seeing the other families every Saturday morning.  But sleeping in on Saturdays will be really nice as well!

Snack Time

We're nearing the end of soccer season in Coronado, and I'm going to miss it.  Here's the snack bar at Tidelands Park today.  No matter how tough the game, or how tired the players, a few dollars at the snack bar cheers everyone up!

Wedding at Tidelands Park

I came upon this lovely wedding location today while waiting for my son's soccer team pictures to be taken.  I haven't seen as many weddings held at Tidelands Park as the more popular Centennial Park or Spreckels Park in Coronado, but this is nice.  I wish the bride and groom a lifetime of happiness together, and pray that no soccer balls interrupt their ceremony!

The Shade Tree

Is there anything better than a cool shade tree to sit under on a hot, sunny day?  I plopped under this beauty while watching my son's soccer game earlier today.  Although I shot many happy and blurry pictures of the game, I think the view from under this leafy canopy is the nicest to share with you.  A view like this on a lazy Saturday at Tidelands Park is one of the true simple pleasures in life.

When was the last time you laid under a under a tree, watching the sunlight dappled leaves and smelling the breeze?
