Coronado Beach At Sunset

The sunset seemed particularly golden tonight, so I ran down to the beach for a photo just before the sun set over Point Loma.

There were still plenty of people out strolling, jogging and playing with their dogs at dog beach.

Today is the last day of Spring Break here in Coronado, so tomorrow life slows back down a bit!

Ocean Avenue in Coronado

This shot is looking South on Ocean Avenue at sunset, toward the Hotel Del Coronado, with Mexico on the distant right side.

Carnival Splendor Still Docked

The cruise ship Carnival Splendor remains in San Diego, receiving necessary repairs before it can head North under its own power later this month.

I took this photo driving home over the Coronado Bay Bridge from San Diego on January 1st.  You can see Coronado on the other side of the bridge, with Point Loma and the sunset fading into the background.

The Carnival Splendor is surprisingly large, dwarfing  large ships that sail past it into the San Diego Bay.

Sunset Over Point Loma

Today was sunny and chilly in Coronado, but here you can see the remains of yesterdays heavy rains on Coronado Beach.

I shot this photo just after sunset tonight, when the last glimpse of fiery color could be seen over Point Loma in the distance.

Sunset On The Bay

This is the San Diego Bay, about twenty minutes ago.  Don't you just love the sunset colors this time of year?

Sunset At Tidelands Park

These palm trees at Tidelands Park remind me of two very long legged people standing by the San Diego bay.

San Diego Skyline at Sunset

The tall buildings across the bay look like ivory towers from Coronado's Bay View Park at sunset.

Today is a very special day, as it's my Grandmother in-law's 92nd birthday.  Happy Birthday Dorothy!  You are an amazing woman, and inspiration to us all.  We love you!!

High Five

I found these five Palms swaying gently with the breeze last night at sunset.  I wonder how old are they?  Who planted them?  I'm just glad they did.
